The Footprints Network receives award for Outstanding Innovation in Fundraising

The Footprints Network has been honoured with the 2012 Outstanding Innovation in Fundraising award from the prestigious charity, Save The Children.

The award acknowledges the work of the companies which have best inspired people to create lasting change in the lives of children around the world.

“In selecting the Corporate Award winners, we have reviewed the contributions from all of the organisation’s partners and have chosen those that we believe have achieved something outstanding for children.’’  Save the Children’s Director of Services Glenn King said.

Simon Monk, founder of The Footprints Network, said:

“It’s a great feeling to be recognized for innovation in this area.  We’ve actually been developing it for about 7 years!"

The Footprints network connects online retailers and their customers to causes.  Through micro donations at the time of purchase customers can donate to a tangible project and trust that 100% of their money is passed on. Charities such as Save The Children receive funding and retailers benefit from a structured CSR and customer engagement program.

“It’s a 3 way win for the business, the customer and the charity.” Said Mr Monk. “We’re barely scratching the surface of what’s possible in this area.  There is phenomenal growth ahead as we shift more to online retail. The Footprints Network will be there to ensure some of this growth is directed to those who need it most”.
